You might often find yourself dreaming about getting your baby on a sleep schedule. Yes, that is possible if you follow some simple steps 👇🏼

😴Recognizing the signs of sleep and tiredness

Rubbing eyes, yawning, fussing, being quiet, crying, facial grimaces like pulling faces or making a sleeping sound. These are the cues we need to watch, because babies show signs as to what they need, we need to understand the behavior.

😴Set the stage for sleeping

🌠 Babies thrive on routines as this gives them a predictability of the day, a bedtime routine is what you must start.

🌠Do a few things every night, like dim the lights around the house which sets the tune, a warm bath, put on pajamas, singing lullabies, reading a book, have a white noise machine handy or give your baby a massage. Choose the things that are relaxing for you and your baby and follow the exact same things every night. This gives signs to your baby and they will love to follow it.

😴Plan the naptime during the day

Naptime should be at regular intervals between, eat and play time. Schedule it with a set time during the day and noon. Too late in the evening might hamper the night sleep.

😴Being active during the day

An active day is essential for your baby, as they grow into toddler play some outdoor games, take them to the park, a walk or a bicycle ride this will help them grow, learn, play and also get their mind and body tired. During the late evening, try to keep it low and quiet. This keeps your baby from getting too excited.

😴A well-fed baby sleep better

Do you agree with Sleep, Eat and Repeat?

it's important that your baby is well-fed. Once they start solids they tend to sleep longer. The reason for babies to wake up is if they are hungry. Having a tummy full is equally proportionate to a happy baby.

😴Adjust your baby schedule to suit your baby’s age

Baby’s schedule changes by age and we need to adjust the schedule accordingly. As your baby gets older, they will need fewer nap times and more play time, which is good in a way as they sleep better during the night.

Setting your baby's schedule is hard and a continuous process for a year or two. Being patient is important with the process. Not every day is the same with babies, and we have to expect changes day by day as they grow.
